What Wedding Bells does

Wedding Bells helps wedding guests keep track of the weddings they are invited to: invite details, RSVP deadlines, travel and outfit checklists, and sharing with a partner. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile details provided by Google. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Wedding information you add. Couple names, dates, venues, RSVP details, checklists, notes, and the email address of anyone you share a wedding with. This is stored on our servers so it is available on your devices.
• Invitation photos. If you scan an invitation, the photo is sent to our server and to an AI service (OpenAI) to read the details. Photos are processed to extract the text and are not stored by us after processing.
• Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple's App Store and managed through RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment card details.

How we use it

• To provide the app: storing your weddings, syncing across devices, and sending a notification email (via Resend) when you share a wedding with a partner.
• To extract invitation details you ask us to scan.
• To manage your subscription and restore purchases.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run Wedding Bells: Clerk (sign-in), OpenAI (reading scanned invitations), Resend (share-notification emails), RevenueCat and Apple (subscriptions), and Replit (application hosting). Each provider only receives the information needed to do its job.

Device permissions

Camera and photo access are used only when you scan an invitation. Calendar access is used only if you turn on calendar sync. Notifications are used only if you turn on reminders. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all wedding data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deletion removes your weddings, checklists, shares, and your sign-in account, and cannot be undone.

Children

Wedding Bells is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
